Our Tuning Automation Agent is a technological gateway that serves as as dispatcher between single Work-In-Progress folder and our public Tuning Automation Portal. It does not have network access to your computer or any data outside of this WIP folder. Logically what our agent does is very simple, to communicate with WinOLS we creating a file with instructions that is readed by LUA script and then tells WinOLS what to do. Once WinOLS finishes its part - it tells LUA script what to answer to our agent, and we generates another file with instructions which is read by Tuning Automation Agent. Once Agent knows the answer, it transfer it to our public portal and you see results in web browser on your desktop or mobile device. Tuning Automation Agent runs as service and provides high-level statistics, but no need to keep it open, close its window, being a service this closure not interrupt running agent processes.
